What are the highlights worth paying attention to in the BYD Tang DM-i Intelligent Driving Edition 175km long-range version?

The BYD Tang DM-i Intelligent Driving Edition with 175KM long-range has just hit the market! At first glance, it's still the familiar large seven-seater SUV, but it perfectly connects all the "key points families care about most".

175km electric range seems low these days? Actually, it's quite the opposite.

First, you need to understand that Han and Tang models target the fuel vehicle market. They've always captured users who primarily use gasoline, gradually cultivating, educating, and building their awareness to achieve higher penetration rates. The combined fuel-electric range of 1240km is more than sufficient, and with a fuel consumption of just 4.7L/100km when the battery is low – that's pretty impressive for a mid-to-large SUV.

In terms of comfort, all Tang DM-i models come standard with YunNian-C+ suspension. While everyone probably knows about that already, what really touches me is the retained physical buttons – possibly the rarest feature in today's cars and something many people wish they could get back but can't. Then there's the 6.9L cooling/heating fridge that comes starting from the mid trim level, with a temperature control range from -6°C to 50°C. These little details really show the "family-oriented thinking" behind the design.

Safety-wise, this one's quite impressive. BYD has introduced down to the TBC High-Speed Tire Blowout Stabilization System to the Tang DM-i for the first time. It can keep lateral deviation below 0.75 meters even if a tire blows at 190km/h. Now, where in China can you actually drive that fast? So just take it as "you'll have sufficient protection whenever a tire blowout happens" and you're good. Add to that the Blade Battery with IPX8 protection, 360° camera, blind spot monitoring, and door opening warning – the sense of security is tangible.

Design and luxury haven't been compromised either.

The exterior gets a new Liuguang Silver color option – it looks like liquid metal under strong light, cool silver-gray on cloudy days, and reflects moist light patterns on rainy days. Inside, there's Xiafei Red interior, which expresses Eastern aesthetics very directly. Plus the blacked-out trim package, so younger users' demand for sportiness is also met.

I think it's great that the Tang DM-i isn't competing on price tags, but rather focusing on popularizing flagship technologies: battery, intelligent driving, YunNian-C suspension, and TBC system.
